Luc Seraphin - Joint Managing Director

Luc joined NemeriX from Agere Systems, where he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile Terminals division. Previously, he held a number of leadership positions within Agere, Lucent Technologies, AT&T and NEC in marketing, sales and applications.

Giacomo Piccini - Joint Managing Director

Giacomo joins NemeriX as co-Managing Director, from Media-lario Technology, where he was COO. Previously he had spent over 23 years at ST Micorelectronics, in roles of increasing responsibility in leadership roles in engineering, marketing and business development. Executive management roles included GM of the Digital & Analog Semicustom Division and Networking Division and also as Group VP & GM, Wireline Division, of ST Microelectronics. Giacomo received his Master of Physics Degree from the University of Calabria.

Frank Nowroth - CFO

As CFO, Frank comes to NemeriX with extensive global business development, project management and financial experience at Siemens Corporation & Ray Sono AG. Additionally, he has experience as a private-sector consultant with expertise in finance and controlling, organizational development and IT. Frank graduated with a degree in Business Economics at the Business Admininistration and Economy Academy 'Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie (VWA)' in Frankfurt, Germany.

Dr. Francesco Piazza - Chief Science Officer

Francesco co-founded NemeriX SA in June 2002. Between 1992 and 1999, he worked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, where he was involved in the design of analog, mixed-signal and RF integrated circuits for various communications applications including pagers, GSM mobile phones, and GPS applications.

He has authored or co-authored more than 20 technical papers, many of them for IEEE conferences and journals. Prior to joining ETH Zurich, Francesco developed systems including power supplies, motor controllers, sensor electronics, audio amplifiers and processors. Francesco holds both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland.

Dr. Paolo Orsatti - VP of Engineering

Paolo has over a decade of experience in the development and design of high performance low-power GPS solutions. Paolo co-founded NemeriX in June 2002. He is currently leading the NemeriX system and silicon development teams.

During his research and development work, Paolo authored or co-authored more than 20 technical papers on RF integrated circuits and GPS applications. Paolo holds both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland.

Gianmaria Mazzucchelli - VP of Operations

Gianmaria has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Before joining NemeriX he launched the Sophia Antipolis (France) R&D center of NewLogic Technologies. As Managing Director of NewLogic he specialized in the development of complex Intellectual Property cores, system-on-chip devices and software for the wireless market. Prior to NewLogic he held management positions at VLSI Technology (now Philips Semiconductors) where he was responsible for all cordless development.

Gianmaria began his career at Olivetti (Ivrea, Italy) as an ASIC design engineer. He holds a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Stuttgart (Germany).

Lew Boore - VP Marketing

With almost 20 years in the semiconductor industry, predominantly in mobile wireless communications and GPS, Lew most recently was VP of Marketing for u-Nav. Lew has held numerous positions in product development, sales, strategic business development and marketing in wireless semiconductors, developing markets, sales opportunities and partnerships in Asia, EMEA and the America's

Dr. Marco Cavadini - Director of Applications

For the last 9 years Marco has been involved in research and development of leading-edge digital integrated circuits for low power digital signal processing applications. Starting as a researcher in 1993 and then as a co-founder of NemeriX in June 2002, he has developed a broad range of expertise from system-level to physical-level IC design.

Marco is co-author of 6 IEEE and 4 GPS-related publications. Marco holds both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland and a Diploma in Project Management from UC Beckley Extensions, California.

Dr. Rob Saunders - Director, Product Marketing

With over 10 years experience in the mobile wireless industry Rob has been designing silicon and devices for numerous products including WCDMA and GSM cell phones, DECT phones, Bluetooth and of course GPS. Previously, Rob has worked in various systems engineering and technical marketing roles at Nokia, Conexant and Skyworks, and has transitioned to marketing during his time at NemeriX.
